Catch-up
Fox News gets their folks back...good,
but,
there may be more to that story of forced conversion to Islam. What a Prophet (Pigs Be Upon Him), gains 'believers' at gunpoint, and kills those who try to convert to a real religion.
Airliner tries short runway for take-off, some 50 people killed. NBC uses plane crash skit that evening. Very poor taste, NBC.

From Michelle Malkin (www.michellemalkin.com)
Fox News Channel reporter Steve Centanni and freelance cameraman Olaf Wiig are still missing. It has now been more than a week since their kidnapping at gunpoint in Gaza by unknown terrorists. FNC top management, the journalists' families, and Palestinian journalists continue to press for their release.

A reminder for those who preach "tolerance"
Drinking From Home:
British Broadcasting Cresent (BBC) strikes another blow in support of terrorists, and against democracy (Israel).
Dear Britons,
Your Empire once stretched so far that the "Sun never set upon it", but that was yesterday.
Tomorrow, your dhimmitude awaits.
I read the news today...
US Govt can't monitor terrorists, according to liberal judge. Gee, I guess we just track them down after they commit mass murder. I guess we won't be helping our allies prevent attacks. I guess we just have to hope for bomb malfunctions.
But I go on

Senator Joe (I)
Can Senator Lieberman hold onto his seat? I hope so.
Amongst CT registered voters, 30% are Democrats, 25% Republicans, 45% undeclared. (I saw these numbers somewhere today, I just forgot where.)
So that means Mr Ned (Freshmaker) Lamont received support from 52% of the Democrats or 16% of the total voters, and Senator Joe received 48% of Democrats or 14% of the total voters.
So, if Senator Joe can draw half of the undeclareds (22.5% of total) and a fifth of the Republicans (5%). The good Senator would have a total of 41.5% in Nov.
And lets say Ned gets a fourth of the undeclareds and a fifth of the Republicans - thats would be 32% in Nov.
Which leaves 27% for the Republican.
So. this 3 horse race will be very interesting.....

McK Blame Game Update & Air Travel
from www.11Alive.com
"We're seeing some Cynthia McKinney supporters are resorting to anti-Semitic and racist language and again blaming the Jews for her loss in this campaign," said ADL southeast Associate Director Shelley Rose.
The remarks were allegedly made just moments after McKinney's entourage passed out of earshot of 11Alive cameras, as the congresswoman left her campaign headquarters on Tuesday night.
Someone reportedly said quote, "You wanna know what led to the loss? Israel. The Zionists. You. put on your yarmulke and celebrate."

Cynthia McKinney: The Next Day
Highlights Cynthia's bitterness at her defeat.
Ms McKinney blame yourself for your loss.
McK Blame Game
Cynthia McKinney is blaming the media and electronic voting machines for her defeat.
The campaign manager for the state's first black congresswoman blames white voters and Republicans who crossed over to vote in her Democratic runoff.
But once all the votes were counted, it was apparent McKinney also had plenty of fellow Democrats to blame.
They came out by the tens of thousands yesterday to vote for Hank Johnson, the black attorney and former DeKalb County commissioner who is now the general-election favorite in the predominantly Democratic district east of Atlanta.

Good news in Georgia
Johnson 58%
McKinney 42%
with 67% of votes counted.

Incredible Speech by PM of Israel
Subject: Incredible Speech by PM of Israel
July 31, 2006
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Leaders of the world. I, the Prime Minister of Israel, am speaking to you from Jerusalem in the face of the terrible pictures from Kfar Kana. Any human heart, wherever it is, must sicken and recoil at the sight of such pictures. There are no words of comfort that can mitigate the enormity of this tragedy. Still, I am looking you straight in the eye and telling you that the State of Israel will continue its military campaign in Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Forces will continue to attack targets from which missiles and Katyusha rockets are fired at hospitals, old age homes and kindergartens in Israel. I have instructed the security forces and the IDF to continue to hunt for the Katyusha stockpiles and launch sites from which these savages are bombarding the State of Israel.
We will not hesitate, we will not apologize and we will not back off. If they continue to launch missiles into Israel from Kfar Kana, we will continue to bomb Kfar Kana. Today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Here, there and everywhere. The children of
Kfar Kana could now be sleeping peacefully in their homes, unmolested, had the agents of the devil not taken over their land and turned the lives of our children into hell.
Ladies and gentlemen, its time you understood: the Jewish state will no longer be trampled upon. We will no longer allow anyone to exploit population centers in order to bomb our citizens. No one will be able to hide anymore behind women and children in order to kill our women and children. This anarchy is over. You can condemn us, you can boycott us, you can stop visiting us and, if necessary, we will stop visiting you.
Today I am serving as the voice of six million bombarded Israeli citizens who serve as the voice of six million murdered Jews who were melted down to dust and ashes by savages in Europe. In both cases, those responsible for these evil acts were, and are, barbarians devoid of all humanity, who set themselves one simple goal: to wipe the Jewish race off the face of the earth, as Adolph Hitler said, or to wipe the State of Israel off the map, as Mahmoud Ahmedinjad proclaims.
And you - just as you did not take those words seriously then, you are ignoring them again now. And that, ladies and gentlemen, leaders of the world, will not happen again. Never again will we wait for bombs that never came to hit the gas chambers. Never again will we wait for salvation that never arrives. Now we have our own air force. The Jewish people are now capable of standing up to those who seek their destruction - those people will no longer be able to hide behind women and children. They will no longer be able to evade their responsibility.
Every place from which a Katyusha is fired into the State of Israel will be a legitimate target for us to attack. This must be stated clearly and publicly, once and for all. You are welcome to judge us, to ostracize us, to boycott us and to vilify us. But to kill us? Absolutely not.
Four months ago I was elected by hundreds of thousands of citizens to the office of Prime Minister of the government of Israel, on the basis of my plan for unilaterally withdrawing from 90 percent of the areas of Judea and Samaria, the birth place and cradle of the Jewish people; to end most of the occupation and to enable the Palestinian people to turn over a new leaf and to calm things down until conditions are ripe for attaining a permanent settlement between us.
The Prime Minister who preceded me, Ariel Sharon, made a full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip back to the international border, and gave the Palestinians there a chance to build a new reality for themselves. The Prime Minister who preceded him, Ehud Barak, ended the lengthy Israeli presence in Lebanon and pulled the IDF back to the international border, leaving the land of the cedars to flourish, develop and establish its democracy and its economy.
What did the State of Israel get in exchange for all of this? Did we win even one minute of quiet? Was our hand, outstretched in peace, met with a handshake of encouragement? Ehud Barak's peace initiative at Camp David let loose on us a wave of suicide bombers who smashed and blew to pieces over 1,000 citizens, men, women and children. I don't remember you being so enraged then. Maybe that happened because we did not allow TV close-ups of the dismembered body parts of the Israeli youngsters at the Dolphinarium? Or of the shattered lives of the people butchered while celebrating the Passover seder at the Park Hotel in Netanya? What can you do - that's the way we are. We don't wave body parts at the camera. We grieve quietly.
We do not dance on the roofs at the sight of the bodies of our enemy's children - we express genuine sorrow and regret. That is the monstrous behavior of our enemies. Now they have risen up against us. Tomorrow they will rise up against you. You are already familiar with the murderous taste of this terror. And you will taste more.
(In a loud and clear voice)
And Ariel Sharon's withdrawal from Gaza. What did it get us? A barrage of Kassem missiles fired at peaceful settlements and the kidnapping of soldiers. Then too, I don't recall you reacting with such alarm. And for six years, the withdrawal from Lebanon has drawn the vituperation and crimes of a dangerous, extremist Iranian agent, who took over an entire country in the name of religious fanaticism and is trying to take Israel hostage on his way to Jerusalem - and from there to Paris and London.
An enormous terrorist infrastructure has been established by Iran on our border, threatening our citizens, growing stronger before our very eyes, awaiting the moment when the land of the Ayatollahs becomes a nuclear power in order to bring us to our knees. And make no mistake - we won't go down alone. You, the leaders of the free and enlightened world, will go down along with us.
So today, here and now, I am putting an end to this parade of hypocrisy. I don't recall such a wave of reaction in the face of the 100 citizens killed every single day in Iraq. Sunnis kill Shiites who kill Sunnis, and all of them kill Americans - and the world remains silent. And I am hard pressed to recall a similar reaction when the Russians destroyed entire villages and burned down large cities in order to repress the revolt in Chechnya. And when NATO bombed Kosovo for almost three months and crushed the civilian population - then you also kept silent. What is it about us, the Jews, the minority, the persecuted, that arouses this cosmic sense of justice in you? What do we have that all the others don't?
In a loud clear voice, looking you straight in the eye, I stand before you openly and I will not apologize. I will not capitulate. I will not whine. This is a battle for our freedom. For our humanity. For the right to lead normal lives within our recognized, legitimate borders. It is also your battle. I pray and I believe that now you will understand that. Because if you don't, you may regret it later, when it's too late.

Prophet Mohammad (Pigs Be Upon Him)
Yes, this is a war against one religion. The religion of a Prophet of Satan, Prophet Mohammad (Pigs Be Upon Him), must be reduced to rubble. Islam is a religion of death.
Iran can supply weapons to Hezbollah (Army of Satan) - who according to UN Resolution 1559 is to be disarmed, and will the UN do anything...NO.
Iran has promised a response to the UN demand they stop trying to produce nuclear weapons on August 22nd...the anniversary of when Prophet Mohammad (Pigs Be Upon Him) supposedly appeared over the Temple Mount.
Is this the date Iran will try to nuke Israel?
Hezbollah targets civilians all day long, and the media hails them as the good guys. The media accepts Hezbollah control and editing when in Lebanon...
WHY does the media SUPPORT terrorism with PROPAGANDA?
WHY is okay to INSULT any RELIGION except ISLAM (the religion of death)?
When will we wake up and realize that ISLAM the DEATH CULT must be ELIMINATED?
Followers of the (false) Prophet Mohammad (Pigs Be Upon Him) - We will wake up and CIVILIZATION will crush you. Your culture of death will not survive our wrath, yes, our wrath will be unleashed.
The useful idiots will not stop it, in fact they will be the ones who will demand your destruction. Because you will strike and kill those useful idiots. And we will strike back with a combined Russian, Chinese, and American force, and this strike will not be limited by the Geneva Conventions or the UN.
You want all out war....be careful of what you wish for.

Clash of civilizations?
"This war must stop, or it will radicalize the Muslim world, even those of us
who are moderate today," said Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, who leads the world's most populous Muslim country. "From there, it will be just one
step away to that ultimate nightmare: a clash of civilizations."
Hezbollah (Army of [false] God) targets civilians. Muslims celebrate the death of civilians. There can not be a clash of civilizations since Islam is not civilized.
There are no 'moderate Muslims' - there are murdering Muslims and those who support them with silence.
This is a war between Western civilization and Islamic chaos. Blood will flow around the globe. This war will encompass larger areas than WWII.

Israel Strikes Deep
The reports say a fierce battle is occurring near the hospital. The Israelis are reported to be trying to capture a high ranking Hezbollah member who was in the hospital.
This battle between Hezbollah and Israel is a battle to the death. Hezbollah is determined to wipe Israel off the map and kill as many Jews as possible in the process. Israel must be allowed to fight this out. A ceasefire will only aid Hezbollah and encourage more terrorism.

Comparing Islamists to Fascists
Hitler decided that the Aryan race required more living space, so he aggressively attacked his neighbors with words and arms.
Hitler decided to rid Europe of Jews; he slaughtered 6 million Jews plus others (including homosexuals).
The rest of the world decided that Nazi Germany and Hitler must be reduced to rubble. And it was.
Islamists preach that Islam is the only true religion; and that non-Muslims are worth less than Muslims. That all non-Muslims (infidels) must submit to Islam.
Islamist preach that jihad (war) against infidels is a holy calling. Islamists believe that all means of waging war is okay. Islamists will use any woman or child to hide behind. Islamist place no value on human life.
Islamists are trying to rid the world of Jews.
Islamists are trying to impose Islamic Law on the world.
Islamists are using any means available to achieve their goals. They use ‘liberal multiculturalism to mute criticism of Islam’. (By taking ‘offense’ at any slight, real or not)
Think I am just making this up… Think again.
From PaulaSays.com Sept 2005
Today, as I knew they would, crazed Palestinian mobs are desecrating 25 synagogues in Gaza, setting them on fire and destroying what it took years to build….
Unspoken is the silent message that while the Christian world and the Jewish world would respect places of worship, the Moslem world cannot be held to the same level of accountability….
We can’t say that we expected no better, of course, because that would be deemed racist and wrong. It would be insulting to the honorable religion of Islam, even though it is the truth….
Add in a debate going on now in England, civilized England. At first glance it seems like it is a different topic entirely, and yet, it its own way, it is the same debate, albeit in a more civilized environment. Perhaps commemorating Holocaust Day is a little too Jewish; say a team of advisors to Prime Minister Tony Blair. Perhaps it would be more politically correct to call it Genocide Day so as to avoid insulting England’s growing Moslem population….
Not since Nazi Germany have so many synagogues been destroyed. Moslem intolerance is well known and yet the world continues to be silent. Why was the world silent when 2000 Hindi temples were destroyed by Moslems in India? When will the world finally react to Islamic religious intolerance? ….
From PaulaSays.com July 27, 2006
What is happening in the north can be summed up in the words of Hezbollah's Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah:
"We have discovered how to hit the Jews where they are the most vulnerable. The Jews love life, so that is what we shall take away from them. We are going to win, because they love life and we love death."
Nasrallah is right - we love live and they love death. But he is wrong - it is not what makes us vulnerable, it is what makes us invincible.
The Question is: When will the World wake-up and decide that for civilization to survive, Islamists must be reduced to rubble.
Yes, this is a war against one religion. The religion of a Prophet of Satan, Prophet Mohammad (Pigs Be Upon Him), must be reduced to rubble. Islam is a religion of death.

Soldier's Dad: Civilian Iraqi Casualty Density
The civilian casualties are only in 5-6 cities. Appears to be a very concentrated problem.
Some Soldier's Mom: Musings from My Livingroom: Love More Than Hate
"I also sit stunned at the sheer number of missiles and the weaponry available -- via Syria and Iran -- and the COST. I ponder this with respect to Hamas as well, and it compels me to ask: How many hospitals could have been built with the money? How many schools? Roads? Homes? Clinics? How many infant deaths could have been prevented with a Women-Infants-Children’s nutrition and pre‑natal care program?ow many businesses could have been started with the money? How many factories and manufacturing facilities could have been built -- places to make things and be the linchpins of a sustainable economy? How many Palestinian or Lebanese youth could have been sent to college? How many could now be teachers? Doctors? Lawyers? Statesmen and diplomats?"

Hezbollahs Filthy Methods
Fighting a guerrilla is very hard and knowing that they could shoot from anywhere, we should expect attacks on unusual places.
Innocent people are dying this is true, but I believe the way Hezbollah is operating and its filthy methods in infiltrating villages and using them as launch positions is causing all those casualties.
Of course Israelis have hit bridges recklessly during the day killing innocent civilians trying to cross the bridge, but its war and you always have victims.
On the other hand, the party thats hitting civilians randomly and threatening innocent lives is Hezbollah who is launching rockets with no sense of direction whatsoever. I have seen rockets land on balconies, small cafes, walls… anything but military targets.
There is hope for Lebanon.

Israel's remarks to the United Nations
Below are Israel's UN Ambassador Dan Gillerman's impassioned remarks this morning.(I highlighted the choice comments.)
Thank you, Mr. President. Mr. President, let me take you back to a warm summer's day in Beirut 32 years ago -- exactly this very significant day for you and your people -- the 14th of July, 1974. I want to describe the scene to you and to my Lebanese colleague. Cafes and bars bustling with young people, beaches filled with happy holiday-makers -- the Switzerland of the Middle East.
How different this scene is from the one on Beirut streets today, 32 years later. But this difference did not start this week or last year. The difference started only one year after the scene I just described, in 1975, when the Lebanese began their long dissent into oppression, depression and terror. This is a country that has been held hostage for more than 32 years by tyrants from the north and terrorists in the south, a country whose fun-loving, business-minded entrepreneurial and liberal population has been tormented by decades of oppression, sectarian strife, fundamentalist violence, religious conflict, Syrian control, political assassinations, terror, and full- fledged civil war...
In May 2000, Israel took the painful and politically difficult decision to fully withdraw from southern Lebanon, having been compelled a few years earlier to establish a security zone there in order to prevent terrorist attacks and rocket-shelling from Lebanon into Israeli towns and villages. This council acknowledged Israel's complete withdrawal from southern Lebanon and its full compliance with Security Council Resolution 425 in a presidential statement on June 18th, 2000.
This was Lebanon's moment of truth. Would its government look inward and free its people from the stranglehold of terror, or would it allow its territory to become a base from which Hezbollah terrorists would launch attacks against Israeli civilians.
Tragically, Mr. President, the Lebanese government chose the latter.
The Lebanese government got a second chance after the partial implementation of Security Council Resolution 1559, which resulted in the withdrawal of most Syrian forces from Lebanese territory. Again, this council and the entire world were waiting to see how Lebanon would respond to this historic opportunity. Yet again, unfortunately, the Lebanese government chose to succumb to terror rather than vanquish it, to let its southern region be occupied by terrorism rather than disarm it, and to relinquish control over its country rather than exercise its full sovereignty.
Seldom before has the description of a people as never missing an opportunity to miss an opportunity been so apt. Lebanon sadly did not heed the demands of the international community and did not obey the repeated resolutions of this aghast council. Today, sadly, the Lebanese people are burying the costs of this inaction and ineptitude.
Mr. President, two days ago Hezbollah terrorists, operating with impunity in southern Lebanon, unleashed a sudden and unprovoked attack into Israeli territory. Scores of Katyusha rockets rained down on Israeli towns and villages, causing many civilian casualties. In the midst of this horrific assault, Hezbollah terrorists infiltrated Israel, killing a number of soldiers and kidnapping two more, who were taken deep into the terrorist stronghold of southern Lebanon. Israel had no choice but to react, as would indeed any other responsible, democratic government.
Having shown unparalleled restraint for six years while bearing the brunt of countless attacks, Israel had to respond to this absolutely unprovoked assault, whose scale and depth was unprecedented in recent years.
Let me emphasize this indisputable fact -- Israel's actions were in direct response to an act of war from Lebanon. Although Israel holds the government of Lebanon responsible, it is concentrating its response carefully, mainly on Hezbollah strongholds, positions and infrastructure.
The hundreds of Katyusha rockets fired from Lebanon in the last few days demonstrate the magnitude of the immense arsenal of rockets and weapons that Hezbollah has amassed over the last few years, a danger we have repeatedly warned against. Many of the long-range missiles that have hit Israeli towns, including Nahariya, Safed, Rosh Pina, and the port city of Haifa, were launched from private homes, with families residing inside, where a special room was designated as a launching pad, with a family playing host to the missile. This is yet another example of the cynical and brutal way the Hezbollah organization uses civilians as human shields, with complete disregard for human life.
Mr. President, over the last 48 hours, more than 500 Katyushas and mortar shells were fired into the northern part of Israel, killing two civilians and wounding hundreds more, among them women and children. Israeli civilians and eight soldiers have been killed, hundreds have been wounded.
It is very important for the international community to understand that while Hezbollah executes this vicious terrorism, it is merely the finger on the bloodstained, long-reaching arms of Syria and Iran. Hezbollah, together with Hamas, Syria and Iran, comprise the world's new and ominous axis of terror, an infamous club -- infamous club, the entry fee to which is the blood of innocents and the terrorizing of the entire world.
Membership to this club requires an unfathomable capacity for evil. The president of Iran has repeatedly denied the Holocaust, while gleefully preparing the next one. Many of the long-range missiles fired into Israel in recent days were Iranian missiles, made by the same regime that is now trying to possess nuclear weapons, the same region that is funding Hezbollah to the sum of $100 million a year.
Do we dare to ask ourselves how many families in Lebanon today are being prepared to house dirty bombs and other weapons of mass destruction courtesy of Iran?
Syria, another member of this club, is a well-known protector and financier of terrorist organizations, playing host to them in its capital, Damascus. The Syrian government, which still regards Lebanon as "southern Syria," works ceaselessly to undermine all efforts towards a peaceful future in the region.
Lebanon is today occupied by terror, whether in the south, where it is directed at Israel, or in Beirut, where it kills opponents of Syria and former prime ministers. The real occupying power in Lebanon is terror, terror instigated by Hezbollah, but initiated, funded and perpetrated by Syria and Iran.
The Lebanese government, having missed so many chances in the past, at such a horrendous cost to its people, today has another chance to free itself from the stranglehold of terror, another chance, Mr. President, to release itself from the evil control of Syria and the deadly influence of Iran, and deploy its forces in the south, exercising its sovereignty over a free Lebanon.
Mr. President, there are words that speak far louder and clearer than anything I can voice today. These are voices of Lebanese -- brave, patriotic Lebanese parliamentarians and ministers who, just over the last two days, have cried out to all of us from the brink of the abyss in their beloved country. Let me quote some of these courageous statements to you.
The words of Lebanon's communications minister, Mr. Marwan Hamadeh, only yesterday saying that -- and I quote -- "Damascus gives the orders, Iran supplies the equipment, Israel reacts, and Lebanon is the victim."
Or the words of Alias Attala (sp), a Lebanese politician representing the majority of its parliamentary members, and I quote, "We welcome any Arab and international support, but strongly oppose any enforced involvement of Lebanon by regional players' considerations" -- a reference to Syria and Iran -- "that are not within the interests of the Lebanese people, for the sole attempt to achieve opportunistic benefits at the expense of the Lebanese people. The Syrian regime indulges itself in teaching Lebanon and Palestine lessons according to its own interests through these peoples. Why do those who always protect their regime express understanding of its reasons and preferences and do not express any understanding of Lebanon's reasons and preferences?"
Or the words of an unnamed Lebanese minister who said, again only yesterday, and I quote, "The Hezbollah has not only kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, it has taken the whole of Lebanon hostage," end quote.
Mr. President, with your permission I would like to make a personal appeal to my esteemed Lebanese colleague.
Your Excellency, you know deep down that if you could you would add your own brave voice to those voices of your brave compatriots and colleagues. You know deep in your heart that if you could you would be sitting here right next to me right now because you know that we are doing the right thing, and that if we succeed, Lebanon will be the beneficiary. And I believe that most members around this table, as well as many in this chamber, including our neighbors, realize this reality.
Mr. President, this council and the international community have a duty today to help the Lebanese people achieve the goal of a free, prosperous, democratic Lebanon. The sad and tormented life of this war-torn land has today entered another sad chapter in its history. It is up to every one of us to help right this chapter to ensure that this opportunity is seized not only for the benefit of the Lebanese and Israeli people, but for the sake of generations to come.
Thank you, Mr. President.
Vox's Den: Go to hell Nasrallah
A Lebanese voice that complains:
The real tragedy is that there’s only one Hezbollah thug killed until now; meanwhile 60 innocent civilians are lying on the ground. These fanatics justified their existence by pretending that they defended Lebanon against Israel. They are now hiding behind (and under) the civilians they claim to defend. Who’s defending whom exactly?
Bad Math
The first paragraph is misleading, almost to the point of lying.
Republicans are in jeopardy of losing their grip on Congress in November. With
less than four months to the midterm elections, the latest Associated Press-Ipsos poll found that Americans by an almost 3-to-1 margin hold the GOP-controlled Congress in low regard and profess a desire to see Democrats wrest control after a dozen
years of Republican rule.
The poll numbers do not support the 3-1 claim. Yes,
only 27 percent approved of the way Congress is doing its job. Lawmakers get
favorable marks from 36 percent of conservatives, 28 percent of moderates and 17
percent of liberals.
But that 3-1 margin is not how many want to see Democrats control Congress.
The AP-Ipsos survey asked 789 registered voters if the election for the House
were held today, would they vote for the Democratic or Republican candidate in
their district. Democrats were favored 51 percent to 40 percent.
Democrats also held the advantage among persuadable voters _ those who are
undecided or wouldn't say whom they prefer. A total of 51 percent said they
were leaning Democrat, while 41 percent were leaning Republican.
One bright spot for the GOP is that Republicans hold an advantage over
Democrats on issues such as foreign policy and fighting terrorism _ 43
percent to 33 percent _ and a smaller edge on handling Iraq _ 36 percent to
32 percent. The poll of adults had a margin of error of 3 percentage points and the
survey of registered voters had a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

I support Israel
I support Israel's right to self-defense.
The Israelis have sufferred terror attacks .
Thousands of innocent men, women, and children have been killed/maimed/wounded.
Their attackers hide behind the innocent Palestinian men, women, and especially children.
These attackers only goal is the total destruction of Israel and the death of all its people.
But the time has come for the Israelis to strike back,
and the rest of the world,
will be better off, if they stay out of it.
Let Israel settle this directly with Hamas and Hizbollah. and with Syria and Iran if need be.
The Civilized world SHOULD support Israel against these barbaric attacks.
The Civilized world SHOULD oppose all assaults on innocent men, women, and children.
The Civilized world SHOULD not support those who use human shields.
But the dhimmis in Europe will soon be out in force supporting the terrorists. Because the dhimmis in Europe are too stupid to realize that they are next, unless the terrorist are stopped now, this war will move to the streets of Europe. The dhimmis are to dumb to realize that these Islamic terrorists hate the Western culture, they intend to replace it with their 7th century culture of human torture.
W A R
I pray that the innocents will be safe.
The fear is that this will spread.
Will Syria move in to 'protect' Lebanon?
Was that the plan all along, was this a move so Syria could 'protect' Lebanon by moving back in?
Will Iran make an effort to assist the terrorists?
Will North Korea do something even crazier than testing missiles?
Will the US have to send another division to South Korea and an additional division to Mid-East at the same time?
Will these kidnappings of Israeli Soldiers be the spark that lits open warfare here in WW4?

A Daily Briefing on Iran: Atomic secrets: The man, who knew too much
When Baradei went to Tehran in April for consultations, the chief negotiator of the Shiite theocracy, Ali Larijani gave him an ultimatum to fire Chris Charlier.
He did. Because Mr Charlier thinks Iran is building a bomb, and he should know, he has been inspecting Iran since 2003.
Poem by Audie Murphy
The noble ruins of men lie buried here.
You were strong men, good men.
Endowed with youth and much the will to live
I hear no protest from the mute lips of the dead.
They rest; there is more to give.
So long my comrades,
Sleep ye where you fell upon the field.
But tread softly please
March o'er my heart with ease
March on and on,
But to G-d alone we kneel.

Over the Line
Yes, this is old news (2-3 days old)
Blackfive, Michelle Malkin, and others have all the details.
It is okay to disagree, in fact a good healthy, polite debate, would be good for our nation. Ideas politely exchanged..
It is understandable that oftentimes, people don't want to debate, they just want to disagree. okay, keep it polite.
There are folks, who want to argue, who use profanity.....okay, but you will not change minds or win hearts.
Throwing insults at other bloggers, reliving our school yard days...cheap fun, but childish.
Making threats, is against the law.
Threatening innocent children, not only is this against the law, it is sick, disgusting.
I will stand and defend the innocent children, whether I agree with their parents or not.
If you disagree with another blogger, engage them in debate, challenge their words....
DON'T THREATEN THEIR CHILDREN.

Prisoner swap?
This is not as bad as it sounds.
It was not immediately clear whether public security minister Avi Dichter was speaking for the government or expressing a personal opinion.
If militants release Cpt. Gilad Shalit and stop rocket attacks from Gaza, "Israel will need to, after some time, release prisoners as a reciprocal gesture," Dichter said in a speech to Israeli business people. "Israel knows how to do this. Israel has done this more than once in the past."
Release the Israeli, stop the rockets attacks, Then and only then, we will release some of yours.....okay, the Israeli prisons must be getting crowded anyway.
more good news
Dichter also said Shalit is alive.
Hamas signaled it was prepared to strike a deal.

World Cup Final
before or after,
the Italians switch sides?
If the Italians switch sides after the French surrender, does that mean the French won?
or more politically incorrectly:
or
Will the Wops wollop the Frogs?
The Italians won on penalty kicks....do wop wop.....
The French surrendered their captain on stupidity...a head butt well after the play...truly a stupid way to end a career...

Today's the day to Celebrate Freedom
But Israel is not free from fear of Palestinian attack.
But China does allow free speech, nor does Europe with the many EU restrictions on speech.
Many people of the world are not free from want, they are hungry and suffering while their leaders are bloated and fat.
Islamic nations do not allow freedom of religion, Islam is the only religion with the death penalty for converting from it.
The US Military and the British Military are fighting to extend freedom to Iraq.
NATO is fighting to support the free government of Afganistan.
To volunteer to risk your life,
so that a total stranger,
who doesn't speak the same langauge,
Whose culture is very different,
can be free to choose their own path in life......
That is what our soldiers have done.
G-d bless Them

More Troubles for Hero
Thomas Autry who fought off several attackers in May. Is still fighting the this criminal gang.
He testified Monday that he was surrounded recently outside his apartment by as many as eight teens who were upset that Autry fought back Memorial Day and called police after he was allegedly attacked by at least one of their friends.
.........
During the Memorial Day attack, Autry was pummeled in the chest with brass knuckles and threatened with a handgun and a shotgun. Autry said he pulled out a small knife to fight back, killing suspect Amy Elizabeth Martin, 17, and injuring Daniel.
During the scuffle, Autry said he heard one of the guns that was pointed at him misfire.
Stupid Headline
LOS ANGELES -- A federal judge temporarily barred the Navy on Monday from using a type of sonar that may harm whales and other marine mammals.
Okay, the local tv station does not know the difference between Radar and Sonar.
The AP has it right, sonar may bother whales.
Radar can only affect whales when they are out of water.
The Gettysburg Address
Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of it, as a final resting place for those who died here, that the nation might live. This we may, in all propriety do. But in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow, this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have hallowed it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here; while it can never forget what they did here.
It is rather for us the living, we here be dedicated to the great task remaining before us--that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here gave the last full measure of devotion--that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth."
Abraham Lincoln
*************
I added the emphasis.
"a new nation, conceived in liberty"----America 1776, Iraq 2003
"that this nation shall have a new birth of freedom"----Iraq has given the Islamic world a birth of freedom.
"and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth."-----Democracy has been on the march since 1776..But it is under a serious threat from Islamic Militants who want to impose strict Islamic Law on the entire world.
The Free World must wake up and stop this threat to human freedom and progress.
Do we want the world to return to 7th century law and customs? I don't.
July 4th, 1776
A few years later, in 1789, the people of France tossed their King aside, and started the first Republic, today the fifth Republic of France opposes the efforts of the USA to bring freedom from tyrants;
and Queen Elizabeth II of England and her Prime Minister Tony Blair are the strongest allies in bringing freedom to the world.
How the times have changed!

Hamdan Ruling
Allah tries to make sense of the ruling, quoting SCOTUS Blog:
The Court expressly declared that it was not questioning the government's power to hold Salim Ahmed Hamdan "for the duration of active hostilities" to prevent harm to innocent civilians. But, it said, "in undertaking to try Hamdan and subject him to criminal punishment, the Executive is bound to comply with the Rule of Law that prevails in this jurisdiction."So if they try him, they have to take him to federal court — but they don't have to try him? What?
Smackdown by Tony Snow
Q Does the United States support what Israel is doing in Gaza?
MR. SNOW: Let me be -- I'm going to be very precise on this, because, as you know, these things are reported carefully. The hostage-taking and the attacks by Hamas last weekend have precipitated the current events in Gaza. As we have said since the attack, Hamas should release and return the kidnapped Israeli soldier immediately. It's the responsibility of the Palestinian Authority to stop all acts of violence and terror. Hamas has done the opposite: It's been complicit in perpetrating violence, terror and hostage-taking. Israel has the right to defend itself and the lives of its citizens. In any actions the government of Israel may undertake, the United States urges that it ensures that innocent civilians are not harmed, and also that it avoid the unnecessary destruction of property and infrastructure. All parties ought to take every measure to restore the security situation in Gaza.
Q And do we think that the Israeli response has been appropriate and within the limits that you're talking about?
MR. SNOW: I'm not going to characterize further than what I've told you. There's your statement of position.
Q But, Tony, the Israelis have bombed a power plant -- that harms innocent civilians. Haven't they, like, clearly gone beyond what you've just described here?
MR. SNOW: Again, I'm not going to get into operational details here. Let's just point out once again, you have the Israeli -- the Israeli forces are trying to reclaim somebody who is kidnapped and is being held hostage in Gaza, and they are doing what they can to return him. It would be a lot easier if the Palestinian Authority and if Hamas simply returned the kidnapped soldier. I am not going to get into rendering judgment on any of the operational details of what's going on there.
Q Palestinian leaders have called this "collective punishment." Is it, or isn't it?
MR. SNOW: Again, I will just simply refer to it. I'm not going to get into the midst of the characterizations. I'll repeat, the Palestinian Authority could make this very simple -- they could return the kidnapped soldier. And the most important thing is to try to restore some semblance of security as rapidly as possible, and we hope both sides will cooperate in that.
Disgusting
This Daily Kos commentator is relieved:I cannot even comprehend the moral bankruptcy.I was hoping he would be found dead
I don't mean to sound callous, but I'm relieved. The Israelis were preparing to kill thousands of innocent Palestinian civilians through denial of electricity, water and emergency aid through their invasion of Gaza. At least now there is hope that they will allow water and emergency services to be restored.
I hate to say it, but this [the murder of Eliyahu Asheri- ed.] was the best outcome we could hope for in this disasterous situation.
Need for this War
There needs to be some clarity. For too long the Palestinians have been protected from the natural consequences of their own brutality and bloody-mindedness, allowed by the Western world to make war while pretending at peace. This has only infantilized them, shielding them from the rightful consequences of their actions, encouraging them to become more vicious.
At some point there has to be a war to resolve this, a real war, with the other side fighting back. And one side needs to be decimated and humilated. That's how peace is made. Only when people truly feel the horrors of war are they willing to give it up.

Israel Matzav: Stop Terror at Its Source
Around the world with bloggers,
I go to an Israeli site to find a link to Opinion Journal
editorial entitled:
Stop Terror at Its Source
A return to targeted killing might improve Israeli security.
Great read, please read it.
Raid into Gaza
The Israeli Army warned the airport security personnel to leave, they did.
The Israeli Army is warning civilians in certain areas, hopefully the civilians will follow the instructions and stay safe.
Palestinians have captured 3 (three). [a soldier, a settler, and an old man]
One Palestinian family suffered injuries (maybe death) from a grenade they were playing with.
Oh yes, this Israeli operation is a crime according to some.

Gaza Solution
A quote from Vital Perspective:
First, Israel is acting in self defense after months of rocket attacks terrorizing its population. Second, terrorists control the Palestinian Authority, and have brazenly endorsed the kidnapping. Third, while Mahmoud Abbas may be the elected President, his inability to bring about the release of the solider, or an end to the rocket attacks, has forced Israel to finally act on its own. We don't know of any other country that would do otherwise.
*******************************************
The solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is simple:
The rest of the world should shut up and allow the Israelis and Palestinians to settle their differences themselves.
The European plan of appeasement - only encourages more, not less, more attacks on innocent civilians.
The Arab Nations do not care about the Palestinians - Do they provide anything to them? Or do they allow the Europeans to provide for them?
If the rest of the world - steps back and allows Israel and the Palestinians to work out a solution on their own, it will be a lasting solution. But the constant desire to appease the thugs, I mean Palestinian leaders, only causes more bloodshed.
Steady - Determined - Armed Force is the only thing that will stop terrorism.
Israel sends Army to rescue soldier
I hope the Israeli government does not listen to the terrorist appeasers in Europe.
Appeasement does not work.
Must deal with terrorists by using determined and sustained force of arms.
I hope this draws out all the militant Palestians into open battle with the Israeli Army.

And the French aren't happy that the tanks are rolling.
IKE and the media
In order to stop speculation in the press which was helping the Axis, in 1943 General Eisenhower gave a press briefing confirming to the reporters in the American press that Sicily was the next target of allied invasion. He explained to them that if they printed it, it would result in the deaths of many American and allied soldiers. Not one reporter said a word, even to their superiors in the newsroom. The invasion of Sicily was a whirlwind success, capturing the island in less than forty days, and many papers were sold reporting the successes.

Some Soldier's Mom: If Dirt Were $$$$
Homegrown

Their real aim is not religious respect but cultural change in the West. They want to prevent criticism of its Muslim minority and accord that group special privilege not available to the faithful of other religions. Instead of them changing to integrate into our way of life, they want to force us to change to accept their way of life.

When will the 'leakers' be arrested.
When will your administration start protecting the American public from 'leaks' of classified programs?
When will serious investigations and arrests start?
I am sick and tired of 'classified information' being published in the NY Times/LA Times and the government doing NOTHING to stop/prevent further leaks. My family is endangered by this.
Thank you

Calls the possible N Korean 'test' an 'act of war'. hmmm
Maybe we will have fireworks on the 4th..
86-13 & 60-39
In an 86-13 vote, the Senate turned back a Democratic proposal that would require the administration to withdraw all combat troops from Iraq by July 1, 2007, with redeployments beginning this year.
UPDATE:
The Senate also rejected a second amendment that had a longer and more open-ended schedule for withdrawal. That failed 39-60.
Is this True?

Blame the Parents
This and this
If your 14 year old, doesn't know it is dangerous to be picked up by a person they have only chatted with online --- That is poor parenting.....When my daughter was that age, I closely monitored her use of the internet...I am a parent.
I would never allow a 6 year old in my care to ride a ferris wheel solo. I am a parent..
My daughter would, at times, complain about how mom or dad was always there, keeping a close eye on her.....till her friends would ask us to adopt them, they wanted parents who really care.
Bad Plan Propsed by Grieving Uncle
MacKenzie said the government should have offered a $100 million reward and offered to exchange mujahideen detainees for the soldiers' lives. The government seized enough money from Saddam Hussein to afford it, he said.
Never Surrender
A senior U.S. official told CNN that two bodies had been found in Iraq but could not confirm that those bodies were the two soldiers.
Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, Texas, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Ore., went missing Friday at a traffic checkpoint near the town of Yusufiya, 12 miles (20 km) south of Baghdad.
Iraqi officials said the bodies were found in the town of Jurf al-Sakhar, 50 miles (80 km) south of Baghdad.
This will be the lesson of the day from every commander out there. When you have a group that small, you never split them. You either all go, or you all stay.
There's another lesson, an unofficial one, which will be passed among the troops themselves. Never surrender. They'll just kill you anyway. It's better to go down fighting.
My prayers go out to the family and friends of these two fine young men.
