FBI Searches Congressional office

Congressinal leaders are arguing that:

United States Constitution ~ Article I ~ § 6 ~ ¶ 1:

The Senators and Representatives shall receive a compensation for their services, to be ascertained by law, and paid out of the treasury of the United States. They shall in all cases, except treason, felony and breach of the peace, be privileged from arrest during their attendance at the session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any speech or debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other place.

Protects them from a lawful search warrant.

But the relevant section "They shall in all cases, except treason, felony and breach of the peace, be privileged from arrest during their attendance at the session of their respective Houses, .."

I thought that taking a bribe was a felony.

Also, this was a search, per a search warrant issued by a Federal Judge, NOT an arrest.

Once again, this administration shows that it is willing to go to the very limits of its authority to protect the citizens of this nation from ALL ENEMIES foreign and DOMESTIC
