"It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself." The Declaration of Arbroath - April 6th, 1320

Appears that his re-scheduled Courts-Martial, will have to listen to his claim that our action in Iraq is illegal.
So much for my fortune telling skills.
Rep. Norwood Stops Cancer Treatment; Enters Hospice
WASHINGTON -- Representative Charlie Norwood is leaving Washington to receive hospice care at home in Georgia, forgoing further treatment for lung cancer that has spread to his liver.
Norwood's spokesman, John Stone, said Wednesday that the seven-term Republican is not yet resigning from Congress but has decided to go home to Augusta to be with his family and, "let the Lord decide what to do."
May the Lord Keep You.
He will be convicted on all counts by the General Courts Martial, and he will receive the maximum sentence permitted.1st Lt. Ehren Watada, 28, of Honolulu, is charged with refusing to ship out with his unit and conduct unbecoming an officer for accusing the Army of war crimes and denouncing the administration for conducting an “illegal war” founded on “lies.”

And to
think, I volunteered for this...And I
am ignorant to the rest of the world...or so I thought. But
even thousands of miles away, in Ramadi, Iraq, the cries and screams and
complaints of the ungrateful reach me. a year, I will be thrust back into
society from a life and mentality that doesn't fit your average man.
then, I will be alone. then, I will walk down the streets of America,
and see the yellow ribbon stickers on the cars of the same people who
compare our President to Hitler.

"Victory at all costs,
victory in spite of all terror,
victory however long and hard the road may be;
for without victory, there is no survival."
Just as Nicolaus Copernicus in the 16th century demonstrated that the sun does not revolve around the earth, so too the traditional media outlets are slowly discovering that the information society no longer revolves around their editorial policies. It’s the Second Copernican Revolution. We have yet to determine just how significant it is, but it is already creating visible cracks in the edifice of the Glossocratic Empire.
An excellent read. Go Read It All

This is from North's column on RealClearPolitics.com:
A military officer, who has served in Iraq, said this to Mr North:
"These politicians who think we can win a war by committee. Do they even know that in the last two weeks we have set AQI (Al Qaeda in Iraq) and the Mahdi Army both back on their heels?" he answered. I was silent, so he continued, "Is there anyone in Washington who understands what this means? AQI terrorists are running like rats out of Ramadi. And the Mahdi Army is being cleaned out of Baghdad. Do they know how much harder all this rhetoric makes our job?"

Does Congress even care about how their pompous actions harm our troops in the field?
NO, Most members of Congress, didn't care about how their words and actions cause harm.
Most of the elected officials on Capital Hill only care about their latest poll numbers.
Actual concern about the people of this country, no.
Actual concern about how their words and actions support the Islamofacists. none.

From Hugh Hewitt:
If the United States Senate
passes a resolution, non-binding or otherwise, that criticizes the
commitment of additional troops to Iraq that General Petraeus has asked
for and that the president has pledged, and if the Senate does so after
the testimony of General Petraeus on January 23 that such a resolution
will be an encouragement to the enemy, I will not contribute to any
Republican senator who voted for the resolution. Further, if any
Republican senator who votes for such a resolution is a candidate for
re-election in 2008, I will not contribute to the National Republican
Senatorial Committee unless the Chairman of that Committee, Senator
Ensign, commits in writing that none of the funds of the NRSC will go
to support the re-election of any senator supporting the non-binding
resolution.
I accept this pledge.
Take the pledge, and tell the NRSC:
NRSC
Ronald Reagan Republican Center
425 2nd Street, NE
Washington, DC 20002

Then e-mail Senator McConnell and Senator Ensign, and tell them too. Senator McConnell's phone number is (202) 224-2541. Senator Ensign's phone number is (202) 224-6244.
